A few weeks ago (*this post was first up last winter on my old blog), I had the pleasure of being invited to the Montreal launch of the line Odacité. I was super duper excited to share that with you all as I’m sure you will all love the brand as much as I do. And the story behind the whole brand is amazing. After being diagnosed with breast cancer, the founder, Valérie Grandury, started to blend her own freshly made skincare. First only available to exclusive clients around the world, it can now be enjoyed by you and me.
Even though “natural” beauty is having quite its moment, I’m the first to understand why one would go for cute packaging and promises of miracles over organic ingredients. But the beauty with Odacité is that they don’t do sacrifices. Their products are as good for the eyes as for the skin.
What impressed me the most with the line is the range of serums concentrates they have to offer. Really, there’s something for every skin type and every need. I went with the Passion Fruit-Orange serum for dull skin (thanks Canadian winter). I’ve been applying it every morning with the Odacité Aloe & Immortelle Hydrating Toner Mist and let me tell you, I’ve found a winner! It just feels so good and considering my intense lack of sleep these last few weeks, my skin has been looking great (haven’t been wearing that much makeup!).
Here’s a quick run down of the best out there for younger skins :
The everyday oils : Wild Carrot for Vital Glow, Acai-Rose for Youthful Glow, Blublerry-Jasmine for Cell Energy, Carmelia-Chamomille for Sensitive Skin, Green Tea-Lemongrass for Radiance Effect, Peach-Cypress for Combination Skin, Grapeseed-Grapefruit for Oily/Acne Prone and Black Cumin-Cajeput for Pimples.
The Spot Treatment : Baobab-Sarsaparilla for Eye Contour and Jojoba-Lavender for Clogged Pores.
The All Over Treatment : Blueberry-Jasmine for Scarring and Black Cumin-Cajeput for Acne.
For all of you beauty hoarders out there the best thing is to grow your own little collection and use a different one depending on how your skin is feeling or the result you want to get. I’m definitely planning on owning more then one (Wild Carrot you are next)!
How should I use them might you ask ? Well here’s the 3 three ways recommended by the brand : You can obviously use the serum concentrate directly on the skin for fastest results (good technique if you are targeting a pimple for example). I personally like to spray a good amount of toner (Odacité has great ones!) in the palm of my hand, add two drops of the serum concentrate and massage everything onto my face. Finally, if you are looking for extra moisture, you could of course do the same thing but with your moisturizer.
So I’ve you’ve been looking for natural products to add into your skincare routine, Odacité serum concentrates are the way to go. Made with the best of the best when it comes to ingredient, it’s natural and affordable luxury for the skin! LOVE IT! The line is exclusively available at the amazing Annie Young Cosmetic boutique on Sherbrooke Street (owned by the nicest ladies!).
