Shine bright, summer is here

In the last year, nudes have been the trend to follow. And I love it (no one can have to many nudy shade lipsticks right!?). But with the start of summer (ok kinda…), I can’t resist the urge to get all of my colourful items out. Rosy and orangy tones, nothing beats them to the punch when making you look fresh and bring sunshine to yo face.

So here are just a few items to get your hands on when you feel it’s time for a little switch-a-roo for the new season!

Lise Watier Blush-on in Libertine: This blush might seem a liiiiiitle scary to you when you look at the colour of the product in the pan. I’ll concede, it’s pink. VERY pink. But no worries, it’s actually very natural on the cheeks. I just love the flush it gives me, bringing so much life to my complexion.

M.A.C. Cranberry eyeshadow: I am not one to go for a full face of makeup on a daily basis but I do enjoy throwing an eyeshadow colour on my lids on a pretty regular basis. When I am usually a neutral all the way kind of person when it comes to my eyeshadow palette choices, I’ve really been enjoying the M.A.C. cranberry eyeshadow. It’s a deep pink shade, quite easy to wear, but which definitely ads a twist to your makeup look. Quick tip, it looks supa good matched with a browny nude lipstick!

YSL Rouge Volupté Shine in shade 43: One of the latest addition to my makeup collection and I’m in looooove. I had been lusting after the Rouge Volupté Shine lipsticks for SO long. Like literally months. I finally bit the bullet and I couldn’t be happier. It just gives the perfect wash of colour to the lips. Perfect when I am not in the mood for the intensity and fuss of a full out bright lipstick but still want to keep things fresh and cheery!

Little tip ALERT! When it comes to lipsticks, not all shades will suit everybody. It’s true for nudes, but also for more vibrant colors! The best way to find out what shades will look good on you? Try. It. On. Personally, I know to stand far away from pale pinks (that always look so awkward on me). For others, fushia will be the big no-no! But don’t be scared to step out of your comfort zone.

Bring on the colour!
